Justin Elswit is Manager, Renewable Energy at Monarch Private Capital. In this role, Justin helps facilitate the successful closing of renewable energy projects for Monarch’s tax equity clients.
Prior to joining Monarch, Justin served as Vice President for Celtic Bank’s renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure division. There, he helped expand the Bank’s base of investments and partners throughout the renewable energy industry, sourcing new investment opportunities and leading transaction structuring, negotiations, and underwriting. Justin also worked on new product development for a FinTech startup and led US project financing for Colorado-based solar developers.
Before his career in domestic renewable energy, Justin worked at the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), the US Government’s development finance institution, and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). At OPIC and USAID, he structured, closed and managed complex impact-focused debt transactions in emerging and frontier markets.
Justin holds a bachelor’s degree, Master of Public Policy and a certificate in international development policy from Duke University.
