Bardstown

The Bardstown Parkview Motel and Kurtz Restaurant sit right off the Bourbon Trail in Bardstown, Kentucky. Known as the ‘Bourbon Capital of the World,’ Bardstown facilitates many Bourbon-Trail hikers every year. With very few places to stay along the trail, the comfort of the Parkview Motel and the home cooked meals at the Kurtz Restaurant became a staple stop for many of these hikers. Although both places had to close their doors in 2021, new ownership and rehabilitation efforts are working to restore these historic icons to their former glory.
