Aurora Kyser

Aurora Kyser is Director, Development for Monarch Strategic Ventures at Monarch Private Capital. In this role, Aurora leads the development of behind-the-meter (BTM) solar, battery storage, and other distributed energy solutions, focusing on low-to-moderate income (LMI) communities across the U.S. She is responsible for managing all aspects of project development, including site feasibility, engineering, interconnection, permitting, and EPC milestones.

Prior to joining Monarch, Aurora held multiple leadership positions at SunPower, where she directed operations for solar projects ranging from 5 kW to 5 MW. As Director of Multi-Family Operations, she spearheaded the development and execution of strategies that drove revenue growth of 100% in 2022 and 130% in 2023. Her experience also includes establishing a dealer-focused EPC services group and leading a nationwide portfolio of commercial solar projects. Aurora began her career at Sun Light & Power, where she served as Director of EPC Operations, overseeing a majority of the workforce and implementing process improvements that enhanced operational efficiency.

Aurora holds a BA in History with a specialization in Early Modern Europe from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
